Welcome to Rack Focus: Round XV! It's amazing how this little competition created in 2015 has become a staple in the DFW film industry today! We're thrilled to be back and help motivate you, get those creative wheels turning, and encourage you to express yourself through film!

Attention Filmmakers:

Enter this round and get the opportunity to join in the Pitch Session, where you will have 2 minutes to talk about your project. You can discuss the concept, casting, crew required, location requests, or anything else you'd like! Helpful hint: try and keep lots of cast and crew spots open since there may be some willing participants hungry to work at the session listening to your pitch!

Attention Actors:

Attend the Pitch Session and listen to the filmmakers' pitches. Once you've heard them all, attach yourself to any project that interests you. There is no limit to the number of projects you can work on, so prepare to load up on as many as you can! This is a perfect opportunity for first time actors looking for work!

Helpful hint: bring a pad & pen to make notes on each project!

After the pitch session is over, it transforms into an industry mixer. Time to attach yourself to the projects you liked! This is also a great chance for everyone to interact, network, and collaborate on productions in the film industry. It's an excellent opportunity to meet and mingle with professionals in the field and work on independent film projects in the DFW area. Helpful hint: make it a point to introduce yourself to as many people as possible! Good networking always helps with this specific industry!

All filmmakers have three months to complete their projects. After the submission deadline, a Red Carpet Premiere will be held at a local movie theatre where you'll have the opportunity to compete for trophies, cash prizes and, most importantly, bragging rights!

It's the time to wear your red-carpet best! Photographers, interviews, fellow filmmakers, family and friends! It's our version of the Academy Awards!

So, get your creative juices flowing, grab a notebook and gear up for the next round of the biggest short-film competition in the DFW area - Rack Focus!
